Dear Marais

I’ve posted before about my love about Melissa, well now we’ll talk about Marais.

Taking inspiration from a summer spent in “Le Marais,” cofounders Catherine Chen and Haley Boyd named their company after Paris’ most eclectic district. From flamboyant transvestites to traditional rabbis, there is just about something for everyone. And that is precisely the philosophy at Marais USA. As the brainchild of two young women determined to fill a gap in the modern market, Marais USA boasts a bevy of covetable basics that won’t leave your wallet empty.

Of course their online shoppers are within US, Australia, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Sweden, and Switzerland. I wonder why UK is not included.

Anyways, their prices are a little lower than Melissa. But their designs are awesomely good like theirs. These are my choices of flats and espadrille designs.

Don’t worry, I’m not planning to buy any of it. I’m just drooling over their cute designs. I’m happy just by surfing on their sites. Content on what I currently have. Amen

Mommy Rocks!

Next month, it’ll be Mother’s Day. I was browsing some checklist for baby #2 – just making sure that everything is complete already, I came across this punk baby clothes. So cute! Perfect for Mom and their little ones.

And these I love the most.

I will take a little off now with the online/window shopping. I need to check on some notes about honda portable generators. Why? We need to check on some good deals since we need one before we move in to the new house. It’s a must to have a generators in each house here. Because of the emergency black out that might occur in the future. It’s much better to be ready than never at all.

Soon for “ME” Time

After giving birth, I promise myself to give a special “ME” time. I’ll march off to the salon to dye my hair, will go shopping for clothes and shoes, manicure, pedicure and is planning to have an appointment to the dermatologist on how to get rid of pimples that has appeared on my forehead for the last 9 months of pregnancy. Sometimes, it’s really a must to have something special done for ourselves. But for now, all I’m thinking is to give birth safe and baby will be as healthy as her big sister. Insha Allah, God willing.

One for One

Summer is just around the corner. And for my friends back home, they are all in heat. Most of my friends owned a TOMS. I’ve never heard of this brand, just recently when a friend posted some cute wedges and shoes on her blog. I said to myself that these is a must have. But I think this one is much better off with shorts. So how on earth I can wear one just in case I bought one? Well, there’s always a black leggings to the rescue and a long dress down just above the knee to cover up my skinny legs. We’ll see.

So these are my bet for the wedges.

And here are for the normal ones.

I was shocked when I saw the price ranges for these shoes. I thought that a pair will reach up to a $100 or so, but I was wrong. The prices are very reasonable. A friend said that it’s the most comfortable walking canvas you’ll ever wear. I do hope that I can have one in the future. Yeah, it’s me – a shoe-hollic again talking, LOL!

Sharing Fun Downloads

My hubby’s a geek with regards to multimedia players and stuff over the internet. Sometimes he’ll just approach me smiling so proud of his current free downloads. One day, as we were talking about some stuff over the internet, he opened a topic about an open source software websites where he can download free fun stuffs.

Here are some of his great finds:

Xvid Converter
When he mentioned Xvid, I know that’s it’s all about videos. But he claimed that the good thing about this is that it encodes and decodes your digital videos.

7-Zip Basics
From the word, zip – I know that he’s talking about a large file that needs to be unzipped. As far as my knowledge is concern, I believe that this is great thing to download. I sometimes compressed some files to send out through email and basically, this is one of the tools that is a must on our laptop/computers.

aMule Themes and Skins
He’s not that fond of music, but he likes to customized a lot of stuff over his laptop. By using this aMule software, you can download everything you want – why? because this program uses a peer-to-peer file sharing. So what happens is that you can download most of the popular stuffs there is.

File Sharing
Well, Ares is one of his favorite. It’s the largest file sharing network as per him. So it’s easy for him to find good free deals at the safest way possible to download techy stuffs over the web. It’s a powerful library organizer too, so it’s easy for you to track your downloads.

And lastly, Recording and Editing Sounds
As I’ve said, he’s not that fond with music – but I do. So I asked him to download this for me. It’s an open source software for recording, editing, improving audio sounds from your computer.

I’m not that techy person, but thank God I have a husband who’s into these stuff.

Hair Color

And so my decision to highlight my hair is confirmed. I’ve already asked Hubby’s permission and it’s a go signal. I want to lighten up my face with wearing a different shade of hair. I used to dye my hair, but since I have it grown for sometime, might as well ask the expertise in the salon and they’ll do it for me. I wanted to have a highlights as well. Just for a change. It’ll be a first time for me to do this.

Aniston, Green and Holmes – beautiful color! I just hope that I can have the same results. If not, I’ll go bald! Hahaha!

Nursing Covers

I’m so ready to breastfeed again. I’m excited as a matter of fact and I’m challenging myself that hopefully I can do better this time. With my 1st child, I had to work after 3 months of being on leave, so I had to stop on the 4th month. Tired from work and even had no time sometimes to eat at work, so the nutrition inside my body was not enough to produce milk. This time, Insha Allah God willing, I can do better.

I’m looking over these fashionable nursing covers that I found over the internet.

There’s a lot more in Etsy but I need log off now. Hubby’s friend is coming over soon. And I think it’ll be on his birthday as well. So we’re getting hold of these cigars that his friend bought from Dubai. We’ll meet him up now.

Missing Jollibee

2 of my online friends went out for a trip. The other one in New York and one in Vegas. Both of them visited “Jollibee” which is one of the #1 fast food restaurant in the Philippines. Back home during our vacation, since I was craving and was on my 1st trimester of pregnancy, I used to order their Spaghetti and Chicken Joy. So yummy! Even Hubby liked their Big Champ Burger and Chicken as well. “There’s no place like home…”, this is what I always claimed before having a bite of their delicious chicken.

Back in Qatar, they recently franchise a Jollibee outlet. But due to my hectic schedule at work, I wasn’t able to go and tried a dine in with them. My colleague ordered a food and had it take out instead. But it’s not that delicious. My taste buds that time was bitter – or probably because I was pregnant?

Anyway, I wish that I can enjoy a tasteful Chicken joy again from Jollibee, the funny and sweetest bee ever.
